Recently, there has been a situation where government agency websites with the extension .gov.vn have been attached with gambling and betting advertising links, including some websites in Hai Duong.
On the afternoon of October 30, just searching on Google with keywords related to betting and gambling, with the site:...gov.vn option will give the results of a list of websites of some districts and sectors of Hai Duong with "dirty" advertising links inserted.
Hackers have taken advantage of vulnerabilities in the above websites to secretly insert advertising links, even install malicious code so that when users access certain content, they will be redirected to gambling and betting websites.
According to the review results of the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) in September 2023, there were 67 government agency websites of 18 provinces and cities and 10 ministries and branches that had inappropriate advertising content inserted, including Hai Duong.
The National Cyber Security Monitoring Center recommends that units need to review and handle vulnerabilities in both website software and server operating systems to ensure information security for the system.
