Hot weather in the North before heavy rain

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (August 17), in the North, it will be sunny, some places will be hot, the highest temperature will be 35 degrees, some places will be over 35 degrees; in the evening and at night, there will be a possibility of showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the mountainous areas of the North, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Notably, from the night of August 18-19, this area is likely to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; on August 20, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain.

Meanwhile, on August 17-18, in the area from Thanh Hoa to Ninh Thuan, there is still hot weather, some places are extremely hot with the highest temperature of 35-37 degrees, some places are over 37 degrees. The lowest relative humidity is 55-60%.

The heat wave in the Central region is likely to last until about August 19.

The Central Highlands and the South are experiencing widespread rain, lasting until August 20. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
