CEO Omar Berrada has set up a "150 plan" for Man Utd, with the goal of winning the Premier League on the club's 150th anniversary.
According to American newspaperNew York TimesBerrada has told the entire Man Utd staff about this plan. "It's not 10 years," he said. "The fans will lose patience if the plan is 10 years. We need a 3-year plan, to achieve that goal."
The last time Man Utd won the Premier League was 11 years ago, in the final season of coach Alex Ferguson. Since then, the league has seen four different champions: Man City, Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool. Of those, Man City have won seven titles, with the last four being the winners.
Berrada added that the "Red Devils" cannot play football like Man City from next season. "We cannot set unrealistic expectations, because the fans will be disappointed," added the former Man City leader. "So it is important to show the fans that the team is progressing compared to itself. I am looking forward to the 150th anniversary of the club in 2028, and if the direction of the team is in such a good position, we will be very happy."
