The purebred rice variety Ngoc Nuong 9 has good quality rice, is resistant to pests and diseases and is suitable for cultivation conditions in Hai Duong. This is the assessment of the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection after a trial production of this rice variety in Hai Duong.

This crop, Vietnam Seed Group Joint Stock Company and Ninh Giang District Agricultural Service Center trialed production of 1 hectare of pure quality rice variety Ngoc Nuong 9 in Hung Long commune. This is a new rice variety selected and created by Vietnam Seed Group Joint Stock Company and put into trial production for the first time in Hai Duong province.

This rice variety has upright leaves, emerges, large panicles, is resistant to lodging, resistant to pests and diseases and is widely adaptable. The average yield is estimated at 62-64 quintals/ha. In particular, this is a high-quality purebred rice variety. The rice grains are clear, long and slender, with a high ratio of milled rice and whole rice; the rice is white, shiny, soft, rich in flavor, has a characteristic aroma and meets the high demands of the market.
