On July 10, the People's Court of Ninh Giang district (Hai Duong) tried the case of Nguyen Dinh Quy (born in 1993 in Ninh Giang town) for fraud and property appropriation.
In early 2017, although he did not work in the police force, Nguyen Dinh Quy told Ms. HTH in Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang) that he had close relationships with many leaders in the industry in order to gain Ms. H's trust.
On the afternoon of March 22, 2017, at Mrs. H's house, Quy received 400 million VND and promised to find a job for Mr. NTL (Mrs. H's son) in the police force.
After receiving the money, Quy did not fulfill his promise and appropriated all of the money.
In court, Quy admitted his crime. The court sentenced Quy to 9 years and 6 months in prison.
