A series of dresses by Vietnamese designers appeared on the Cannes red carpet

The most beautiful Miss of 2022 chose Le Thanh Hoa's design

At the premiere of the film Kinds Of Kindness on May 17 by director Yorgos Lanthimos, Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 runner-up Thao Nhi Le appeared as a guest.

She wore a green silk taffeta dress combined with a strapless, beaded bustier by designer Cong Tri, attracting all eyes.

This is a design from the fall-winter 2022 collection, displayed by the designer in the US.

Thao Nhi Le said she also prepared three other outfits for this trip to Cannes. All designs are by designer Cong Tri.

Isabella Menin - Miss Grand International 2022 - also chose a design by a Vietnamese designer to appear on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.

Le Thanh Hoa said the strapless evening gown combined with a high slit accentuated the curves and long legs of the most beautiful beauty queen of 2022.

"This design is elaborately embellished on a transparent material that is both sexy and visually appealing, while also adding elegance to the outfit.

In addition, the beauty queen from Brazil also combined a feathered cape to create a striking and radiant overall look" - designer Le Thanh Hoa added.

World stars favor Vietnamese designs

Another Vietnamese designer has dresses appearing on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival This year is designer Nguyen Minh Tuan.

The person wearing this design is Nisha Thayananthan - Miss Earth Malaysia 2021.

The design is inspired by the beauty of mermaids. The main colors are turquoise and purple, harmoniously blended.

The highlight of this design is the sophisticated embellishment details that are transformed by crystals, sequins, sparkling stones... on a transparent mesh material background.

Nguyen Minh Tuan said that Miss Nisha Thayananthan contacted him to order two dresses in February. Those were dresses from his previous collections.

However, these models have all been purchased by customers, if remade, it will be equivalent to a new dress design.

So Nguyen Minh Tuan convinced her to choose a completely new design.

Miss Earth Malaysia 2021 has chosen one of six sketches inspired by the image of a mermaid.

The crew spent 2.5 months to manually attach thousands of stones and crystals.

Last year, also on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, Hollywood star Caylee Cowan wore two designs by Nguyen Minh Tuan, inspired by butterfly wings and the beautiful scenery of the turtle tower.
