Sentenced for drug use and robbery

At around 9:00 a.m. on April 16, Vu Dinh Tho (born in 2000, residing in Phuong Hoang village, Cam Hoang commune), Bui Anh Tuan (born in 2002, registered permanent residence in Thanh Hoa province, currently residing in Hoang Hoa village, Cam Dien commune), Ha Quang Huy (born in 1997, registered permanent residence in Son La province, currently residing in Hoang Hoa village, Cam Dien commune, both in Cam Giang district) were all workers of Brother Vietnam Industrial Company Limited, eating together in Le Xa village (Cam Phuc commune). After eating, all three invited each other to go singing and use drugs. At around 11:30 a.m., Tho called Hong Quang Toan (born in 1999, residing in Kim Doi village, Cam Hoang commune) to ask him to find a singing room and invited Toan to go singing with him. Toan called and invited Bui Dinh Quang (born in 2004, residing in Le Xa village, Cam Phuc commune), Nguyen Ba Hoang (born in 2000, registered permanent residence in Bac Ninh province, currently residing in Ngoc Lau village, Cam Hoang commune) to go with him. The group sang at the Nu Hoang karaoke bar in Quy Duong village (Tan Truong commune).

Hong Quang Toan and Bui Dinh Quang went to buy ketamine and 4 synthetic drugs. Quang then divided the drugs among the people in the karaoke room for illegal use.

At around 1pm, Huy's wife, Nong Thi Ngan, came to find him. The bar manager called the people in the karaoke room to come out and solve the problem. They discovered that the group was preparing to use drugs and did not allow them to continue singing. So Hoang poured all the ketamine into the toilet. At around 3-5pm, the group went to the fish pond of Mrs. Bui Thi Thuy (born in 1966, Quang's adoptive mother, in Phu Quan village, Dinh Son commune) to talk.

Angry that Huy went out without money and Huy's wife came to find him, Hong Quang Toan and Bui Dinh Quang used knives to threaten, punch, and kick Ha Quang Huy and Bui Anh Tuan in order to take 13 million VND from Tuan and 18 million VND from Huy. Seeing Huy being beaten and forced to take money, Ms. Ngan reported it to Tan Truong Commune Police.

The People's Court of Cam Giang district sentenced Toan to 14 years and 11 months in prison, Quang to 14 years and 9 months in prison for two crimes of organizing illegal drug use and robbery; Tho to 7 years and 6 months in prison, Tuan to 7 years and 5 months in prison, Huy and Hoang to 7 years and 3 months in prison for organizing illegal drug use.
