Kinh Mon removed nearly 400 billboards encroaching on traffic corridors

The Traffic Safety Committee of Kinh Mon town has cleared hundreds of illegal canopies, awnings, billboards, and material gathering points, returning clear corridors on National Highway 17B and Provincial Road 389.

From December 5-12, the Traffic Safety Committee of Kinh Mon town organized the clearance of violations of road traffic safety corridors on National Highway 17B and Provincial Road 389 in the communes and wards of Long Xuyen, Hiep An, An Luu, Hiep Son, Phu Thu, Minh Tan, Pham Thai, That Hung, Bach Dang, Le Ninh, Quang Thanh.

The Traffic Safety Committee of Kinh Mon town has directed the removal of 263 advertising billboards, and people have voluntarily removed 130 illegal advertising billboards.

As a result, the town has dismantled 250m² of canopies, awnings, and shop tents; 263 billboards (including 15 large billboards); trimmed 256 trees at risk of falling and obstructing visibility; removed 350m of block wedges; cleared and moved 260m³ of construction materials on sidewalks and roads; cleared 25 illegal temporary and flea markets; removed and moved 250m³ of scrap and waste that obstructed visibility and affected the street landscape.

Previously, the Town Traffic Safety Committee organized 12 rounds of mobile propaganda, hung 50 billboards and banners to propagate traffic safety and order in localities; organized direct propaganda, made 245 records of violations against organizations and individuals encroaching on roadsides, sidewalks, etc.

According to the plan, the peak period of clearing violations of road traffic safety corridors of the Traffic Safety Committee of Kinh Mon town will be deployed from December 5-15.
