Kim Thanh reduces 11 public service units

At the 22nd meeting of the Kim Thanh District Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term on December 12, Kim Thanh district summarized and evaluated the results of implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.

From 2017 to present, Kim Thanh district has reduced 11 public service units (from 71 units to 60 units), equivalent to 15.5%; reduced 7 commune-level administrative units (from 21 units to 14 units). Reduced 5 civil servants at district-level advisory and support agencies, reduced 21 civil servants in the government sector and 3 civil servants of mass organizations compared to 2017.

The district also reduced 105 commune-level officials and civil servants; reduced 120 part-time workers; 1 commune implemented the model of Party Committee Secretary concurrently being the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee (Tam Ky); 72/91 Party cells implemented the model of Party Cell Secretary concurrently being the Village Chief, accounting for 79.1%.

Currently, Kim Thanh is implementing the model of Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee.

According to the assessment, after the organization and streamlining, all units, departments and offices operate effectively; cadres, civil servants and public employees are assigned to the right job positions, suitable to the requirements of the tasks, and promote their abilities and strengths.

In the coming time, Kim Thanh district will continue to review and streamline the apparatus.
