With the motto of "proactive, creative, decisive, effective", Kim Thanh district has made flexible adjustments and proposed timely measures, contributing to controlling and repelling the Covid-19 epidemic. When the Covid-19 epidemic was repelled, the district proactively deployed a series of solutions to restore production and business, promote the vaccination of the 3rd and 4th doses of vaccine for people and students. The district has issued many documents to strengthen leadership and direction to restore and develop production and business; launch and restart key projects and works; and carry out regular and ad hoc tasks.

Kim Thanh district receives the title of new rural standard district in 2022

The District Party Committee determined to continue to strongly innovate leadership methods, improve leadership capacity and fighting strength; improve the effectiveness of the political system, promote the potential, advantages and strength of the great national unity, mobilize and effectively use resources, develop the socio-economy sustainably, improve people's lives, maintain political security, social order and safety. The District Party Committee Executive Committee, the District Party Committee Standing Committee, and the District People's Committee have developed, issued and implemented specialized resolutions, programs, projects and plans to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the 25th District Party Congress. Clearly assign responsibilities to the presiding agency and coordinating agencies to implement each work content; clearly identify resources, roadmaps and specific completion times. Many targets exceeded the plan

Thanks to good control of the epidemic with flexible and effective management, the district's economy has clearly grown. In 2022, the district has 13 out of 18 targets exceeding the plan. Many targets are high such as the value of agriculture - fishery increased by 3.12% (plan 1.85%); the value of harvested products on 1 hectare of cultivated land and aquaculture reached 164.04 million VND/ha (plan 158.5 million VND); the value of commercial - service production increased by 16.19% (plan 9.5%); 83 enterprises were established in the year (plan 40 enterprises). State budget revenue in the area exceeded the provincial estimate by 43.3% (plan over 10%). The district has 2,615 workers with new jobs in the year (plan 2,500 workers).

In 2022, the district successfully organized a ceremony to receive the title of a district meeting new rural standards, and was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President. The district continues to direct localities to focus on implementing the task of building communes to achieve advanced new rural standards and model new rural standards. Up to now, the district has 6 communes: Lai Vu, Kim Dinh, Kim Anh, Co Dung, Kim Lien, Dong Cam recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as communes meeting advanced new rural standards. 4 communes: Cong Hoa, Binh Dan, Tam Ky, Dai Duc are completing procedures to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and recognition of advanced new rural standards. Kim Anh commune is proposed to be recognized as meeting model new rural standards.

2022 marks a strong breakthrough in the development of the district's traffic infrastructure. In a short time, many projects have been completed and put into use, and many new projects have been started. Typical projects include the renovation and adjustment of traffic organization at the intersection of km15+835 of National Highway 17B with Road 20-9, Phu Thai town; construction of a traffic route from the District Medical Center to Quynh Khe 1 - Kim Xuyen; construction of a Hanoi - Hai Phong railway service road; repair of the roadbed and surface of provincial road 390 E; renovation of black spots at the Phuc Thanh turnpike; repair of the roadbed and surface of provincial road 389; Tuan Hung - Viet Hung road to Quyt ferry...

In particular, during the year, the district started construction of the East-West axis road of Kim Thanh district (phase 1). This is one of the key projects of the district with the largest total investment capital ever. The road is 14 km long, with a total investment capital of over 1,400 billion VND. In 2022, the district completed the general planning of the communes; organized the public announcement of the district planning until 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Site clearance work has seen many changes. Many constructions and projects with site clearance problems have been resolved.

Kim Thanh district has completed the master plan for the construction of Phu Thai town expansion until 2030, with a vision to 2035.

In the field of education and training, the district has built and put into use 38 classrooms, 11 offices, 4 subject classrooms; 39 classrooms, 29 offices, 11 subject classrooms are under construction. The district has 47 schools meeting national standards, reaching 87.04% (the whole province 79.08%).

In health care, the district continues to strictly implement Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP and directives from higher levels on flexible adaptation solutions to the epidemic situation in the area; step up propaganda to accelerate the progress of Covid-19 vaccination for the subjects. As of December 2022, the whole district has vaccinated over 382,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, the rate of people aged 12 and over receiving the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine reached over 95%; the number of children aged 5 to under 12 receiving the second dose reached 82.17%. Social security policies are being implemented with attention. The district promptly supports food for people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic; implements policies to support workers and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The district has supported 4,579 workers who have stopped working, temporarily suspended work, and freelance workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic with an amount of 5.67 billion VND...

In 2022, the work of Party building and the political system has many innovations. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee focuses on leading, directing, thoroughly grasping, deploying, and seriously and promptly implementing the directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the Central and the province. Inspection and supervision work is strictly implemented according to the set program. Mass mobilization work has many innovations. The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have closely followed local political tasks, continued to innovate in content and methods of operation in accordance with reality, making an important contribution to building the political system, creating strong changes in the awareness and actions of union members, members and people in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, etc.

Promoting the "overcoming difficulties" results achieved in the past year, in 2023, the Party Committee, government and people of Kim Thanh district continue to unite, unanimously strive to successfully complete socio-economic goals and tasks. That is: the value of agricultural and aquatic production increased by 1.85%; the value of industrial and construction production increased by 13.26%; the value of harvested products on 1 hectare of cultivated land and aquaculture reached 165 million VND/ha.
