Thanh Ha 2 Commune was established on the basis of merging Tan An, An Phuong communes and part of Thanh Hai commune. Thanh Ha 2 Commune has a natural area of ​​24.41 km², population 34,187 people, the office is expected to be located at the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Thanh Hai commune.

Thanh Ha 3 commune was established on the basis of merging Tan Viet commune, part of Cam Viet and Hong Lac communes.
