This year, our village will launch a movement to renovate mixed gardens in response to the Tet tree planting festival, helping families have more income.
For many years, Mr. Binh's village has always been praised for its spring tree planting movement. Now, in addition to being the village chief, Mr. Binh is also the Director of the commune's agricultural cooperative, so he has to pay even more attention. On the first working day after Tet, Mr. Binh used the loudspeaker to invite representatives of organizations to the cultural house to discuss. After calling the roll call of all representatives of organizations, Mr. Binh opened his mouth:
- In the early spring of the new year, I wish all comrades and their families good health, wealth and prosperity. I invite you here to discuss how this year's tree planting movement will be implemented?
Listening to Mr. Binh, Ms. Minh, Head of the Women's Association of the village, expressed her opinion:
- I see that in recent years, our village has planted trees on almost all the roads, including the roads to the fields, and the grounds of communal houses, pagodas, cultural houses... Once the land is covered, where else can we plant trees?
Listening to Ms. Minh's speech, Mr. Binh saw that indeed, for many years, the village had done a good job with the tree planting movement, so wherever there was vacant land, trees were planted right at the beginning of the year. Mr. Binh suggested:
- Ms. Minh is absolutely right. If our village asks for shade tree seedlings again this year, we won't know where to plant them. Do you have any comments?
Mr. Ha, the new Secretary of the Youth Union, would like to give his opinion:
- I would like to give my opinion. This year, our village should launch a movement to improve mixed gardens. Many households in our village have large gardens but grow many types of plants that do not bring high economic value. Many households let trees grow wildly like wild gardens.
Hearing Mr. Ha's suggestion, many people agreed. Mr. Binh asked worriedly:
- Planting shade trees along the road is easy, but renovating mixed gardens is difficult because it depends on the needs of each family and the budget for buying seedlings. According to Mr. Ha, how to solve that problem?
- I have been thinking about it for many days and proactively discussed it with the Secretary of the Commune Youth Union. Every year, the Youth Union calls on businesses to support the purchase of tree seedlings for members to carry out the movement, but mainly shade trees. This year, I have asked the Commune Youth Union to sponsor high-quality fruit tree seedlings. Do you think there is any way to mobilize people to contribute labor and money to renovate the garden?
- The way the Youth Union does things is very good. I will also propose that this year the Women's Union buy fruit trees or flower seedlings for members to plant instead of taking shade trees. I will discuss with the sisters to organize support groups for members to clean up the garden before we plant new trees - said Ms. Minh.
Listening to the opinions of the representatives of the Youth Union and Women's Union, Mr. Binh nodded and said:
- This year, our village will carry out a tree planting movement that will be more practical and effective. In addition to greening the home garden and beautifying the landscape, it will also help families earn more income. So we agree on the plan to launch a movement to renovate mixed gardens to respond to the Tree Planting Festival this year!
Everyone at the meeting applauded.
