Prosecution of drug trafficking case in Hai Duong city, seizure of more than 117 grams of synthetic drugs

Previously, at around 9:20 a.m. on May 25, in front of the pump housing area gate, Nguyen Trai Street (Hai Duong City), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Hai Duong City Police caught Nguyen Van Trinh (born in 2003, residing in Hai Tan Ward, Hai Duong City) illegally hiding 0.754 g of MDMA and 0.704 g of Ketamine, to sell for profit.

During the investigation, Trinh confessed that on the night of May 24, he bought the above drugs from Nguyen Van Tung (born in 2001, residing in Phu Tao area, Thach Khoi ward, Hai Duong city) for 1.8 million VND. On May 25, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police issued an order to detain Nguyen Van Tung in an emergency situation and conducted an emergency search of his residence in Phu Tao area.

During the search, the police discovered and seized an additional 82.774 grams of MDMA and 33.347 grams of Ketamine. At the police station, Tung admitted to illegally selling drugs to Trinh and hiding all of the drugs to sell for profit. The total amount of synthetic drugs seized in the case was 117.579 grams.

On May 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police issued a decision to prosecute a case of illegal drug trafficking and transferred the case to the competent authority for further investigation and settlement according to its authority.
