Construction of Dong Viet bridge worth 1,500 billion VND connecting Bac Giang - Hai Duong started

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Bac Giang Province, tomorrow (June 24), in Yen Dung District, the unit will start the investment project to build Dong Viet Bridge, connecting the two provinces of Bac Giang and Hai Duong.

The project aims to create momentum for socio-economic development of localities in the Southeast region of Bac Giang province, overcoming travel difficulties for people in the region.

The bridge is expected to promote the circulation of goods, develop tourism, and create conditions to attract investors to industrial parks and clusters in Yen Dung and Viet Yen districts, Bac Giang province.

At the same time, contribute to completing the transport infrastructure system according to the planning orientation of transport development of Bac Giang province to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

The bridge has its starting point (Km0+00) intersecting with DH.5B road at Km0+754.51 in Canh Thuy commune, Yen Dung district. The route passes through the planning of Duc Giang Urban and Service Industrial Park and Dong Phuc Urban and Service Industrial Park (coinciding with the direction of the district road according to the planning of Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province).

The route crosses Thuong River (about 2.4km downstream from Dong Viet ferry terminal); the end point (Km8+590) connects to the planned road in Hung Dao commune, Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province (connecting with the Dong Viet bridge approach road construction investment project connecting to National Highway 37, Chi Linh city invested by Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee).

The bridge has the most modern design scale in Bac Giang and other provinces in the region.

The project has a total length of 8.59km, of which the approach roads on both sides of the bridge are about 7.86km long, and the Dong Viet bridge is about 731.2m long.

The road has a roadbed width of 22.50m; road surface width of 21.50m, design speed is 100km/h. The road surface structure is asphalt concrete on a crushed stone aggregate base layer.

Dong Viet Bridge is newly built with permanent bridge structure using reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete.

When completed, the bridge will be one of the largest and most modern in Bac Giang province and other provinces in the region.

The project is invested by the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works of Bac Giang province.

The bridge is constructed by a joint venture of Thuan An Construction and Trade Development Joint Stock Company - Trung Chinh Construction and Trade Company Limited - 168 Vietnam Construction Investment and Import-Export Joint Stock Company; expected to be completed and put into use in 2024.
