The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has agreed to publish a photo book, introducing 100 typical photos taken during the process of holding the camera by photographer Van Quang Duc (Kinh Mon).
“Moments of Time”, expected to be 109 pages long, introduces 100 typical photos taken by photographer Van Quang Duc. The book is published with funding from the 2024 Culture, Sports and Tourism Career Fund.
Photographer Van Quang Duc (born in 1915, in Ha Nam, currently living in Kinh Mon town). He is one of the 71 founding members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; a member of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP); one of the first members to establish and have many works contributed to the Hai Hung Literature and Arts Magazine (formerly).
Photographer Van Quang Duc is one of the artists with many valuable photographic documents about art, recording historical milestones, achievements, heroic years of the country, Vietnamese people in general, and his hometown Hai Duong in particular. He has over 100 award-winning works, exhibited in the Central, regional and Hai Duong provinces. Some of his works were exhibited internationally: "The Way Back of Rice" (exhibited in the Soviet Union in 1967), "Duoc Nang" (second prize in the photo exhibition held in the German Democratic Republic in 1968), "Chieu Tren Kinh Thay River" (artistic photo exhibition in Romania in 1969)...
The publication of the photo book by photographer Van Quang Duc aims to encourage and motivate artists who have made many contributions to the development of culture and art, including the field of photography in the province. At the same time, it helps readers gain more understanding of the heroic fighting, sacrifice and enthusiastic working spirit of the people of Hai Duong in general and Kinh Mon in particular in the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland and build the country.
