On October 17, an airstrike occurred near the coastal city of Tyre in southern Lebanon after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning to residents in and near a building in Al-Hawsh, just south of the city.

Lebanon's official National News Agency reported that foreign aircraft carried out an airstrike targeting the Al-Hawsh area.

Earlier the same day, the Israeli army called on people to leave several areas that Tel Aviv considers to be strongholds of the Hezbollah Movement in eastern and southern Lebanon, warning that Israeli forces would target these areas again.

Evacuation notices have been issued for residents in specific areas of the eastern Bekaa province and the southern city of Tyre, both of which have been regularly attacked by Israeli warplanes.

In a post on social network X, Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee stressed: "Urgent warning to residents of the Bekaa area, especially those living in the buildings marked on the map in the Tamnine area. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will target facilities they believe are Hezbollah-affiliated near this area in the near future."

Spokesperson Adraee later posted two other evacuation advisories for residents in the nearby Saraain al-Tahta and Safri areas, also in the Bekaa region.

The Israeli army also issued an evacuation order for residents of the Al-Hawsh area near the city of Tyre.

On the same day, Syrian state media reported that an Israeli airstrike caused a fire in the coastal city of Latakia.

Syrian air defenses intercepted aerial targets and fires broke out at the entrance to Latakia, the hometown of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, state news agency SANA reported.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the air strike targeted an arms depot in the city.

Also on October 16, a US Department of Defense official said that forces under the US Central Command (Centcom) conducted multiple airstrikes targeting weapons storage facilities of the Houthi movement in Yemen.
