On March 4, Ninh Giang district completed collecting voters' opinions on the implementation of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period. This is the first locality in Hai Duong to complete the above work.
The entire Ninh Giang district has 35,345 voters who are eligible for voting. As a result, 35,136 voters in communes and towns agree with the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of Ninh Giang district, reaching a rate of 99.4%. There are 199 voters who disagree, reaching a rate of 0.56%. Dong Xuyen commune has the highest rate of voters agreeing, reaching 100%. After completing the voter consultation, Ninh Giang district is completing the documents and submitting them to the District People's Council for consideration and approval.
In the period of 2023 - 2025, Ninh Giang district has 8 communes and towns subject to rearrangement including: Dong Tam, Dong Xuyen, Ninh Hai, Van Phuc, Hong Duc, Kien Quoc, Hong Phuc and Ninh Giang town. After the rearrangement, Ninh Giang district will have 16 administrative units, 4 units less than at present.
