Honda has recently launched the 2024 upgraded version of the CBR250RR sports motorcycle line in Malaysia. The vehicle will have a starting price of RM 27,999 (VND 149 million), a slight increase compared to the previous price of RM 25,999 (VND 138 million).
In this 2024 version, the CBR250RR has been tweaked with a larger intake diameter and optimized pistons, valve timing and lift. According to Honda, the vehicle's compression ratio has been increased from 12.1: 1 to 12.5: 1, thereby helping the 2024 CBR250RR have a maximum capacity of up to 41.57 horsepower at 13,000 rpm, 1.34 horsepower more than the old version.
Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and quickshifter, and is driven by a chain to the rear wheel. The 2024 CBR250RR features Showa Separate Function Forks – Big Piston (SFF-BP) with 37mm inverted fork legs at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Other standard equipment on the 2024 CBR250RR includes a single hydraulic disc brake system for both wheels and a dual-channel ABS anti-lock braking system. The motorcycle uses 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in rubber tires with sizes of 110/70 and 1450/70 on the front and rear wheels, respectively.
In terms of design, the 2024 CBR250RR has a body inspired by the CBR1000RR-R superbike, with a forward-leaning riding position and many sporty cuts. On top of the vehicle is an LCD screen that displays all necessary operating information, while LED technology is used throughout the entire vehicle's lighting system.
The 2024 Honda CBR250RR has a seat height of 780 mm, carries a 14.5-liter fuel tank and a total weight of 189 kg. Color options for the CBR250RR in Malaysia include Mat Zodiac Blue metallic with black wheels and Honda Tricolor with gold wheels.
