An Israeli strike on the Al-Shati refugee camp killed 24 people, while another 18 were killed in an Israeli strike on homes in the Al-Tuffah area.
At least 42 people were killed in Israeli strikes on districts of Gaza City on June 22, the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip government media office said.
The office's director, Ismail Al-Thawabta, said the Israeli attack on the Al-Shati refugee camp killed 24 people, while another 18 people were killed in an Israeli attack on homes in the Al-Tuffah area.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that recently, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fighter jets attacked two Hamas military infrastructure sites in Gaza City. Hamas movement accused Israel of targeting civilians.
More than eight months since the conflict began, Israeli forces are focusing on two final areas: the city of Rafah on the southern edge of the Gaza Strip and the area around Deir al-Balah in the center of the strip.
Residents said Israeli tanks had moved deeper into the western and northern areas of Rafah in recent days.
On June 22, Israeli forces bombed several areas from the air and on the ground, forcing many families living in areas designated as humanitarian zones to evacuate and move north.
On the same day, June 22, the Health Authority in the Gaza Strip said that at least 37,551 people in this territory were killed and 85,911 injured in more than 8 months of conflict between Hamas and Israel.
This figure includes at least 120 deaths in the past 48 hours, the agency said.
