More than 3,700 works participated in the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

The contest was organized by the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc in coordination with 5 central press and media agencies (Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, Communist Magazine) in the Party Committee of the Bloc in 2023.

At the meeting, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Bloc Nguyen Minh Chung said that by the deadline for submission (June 30, 2023), the Organizing Committee of the Bloc-level Contest had received 3,736 works of 3 types: Magazine, newspaper, radio/television/video clip, submitted by 52/61 Party Committees under the Bloc Party Committee and the Bloc Youth Union of Central Agencies.

Accordingly, many Party Committees have launched and organized creative and effective competitions, attracting a large number of cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to submit entries to the Competition. Typical examples include the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (613 entries); the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport (576 entries); the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (467 entries); the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (440 entries, including 13 entries in the radio/television/video clip genre); the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs (239 entries); the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance (153 entries); the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (119 entries)...

The Party Committees under the Party Committee of the Bloc have closely followed the content and progress of the plan to direct, launch and organize the Contest; widely propagate and disseminate the meaning and content of the Contest in Party organizations, agencies, units, socio-political organizations; highlight the new points of the 2023 Contest; encourage and motivate cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in Central agencies to actively respond to the Contest. At the same time, the units proactively disseminate good quality entries in Party committees, agencies, units and throughout society, contributing to improving the effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views.

During the implementation of the Contest, the Party Committee's Propaganda Department - the Standing Agency of the Contest, regularly urged, grasped the situation, exchanged and answered feedback from the affiliated Party Committees and some individual comrades with entries.

The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held in mid-September 2023, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023). The Organizing Committee will award prizes according to three categories of entries including magazine articles, newspapers and radio/television/video clips. Each category includes 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes. The Organizing Committee will also award collective prizes to 15 Party Committees under the Party Committee of the Bloc that participated in organizing the contest.

This is the third year the Contest has been launched and widely implemented nationwide to continue affirming the important role of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation; raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and people for the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views.

In 2022, the contest attracted 1,108 entries, becoming a widespread political activity, attracting the active participation of a large number of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Party Committee of the Working Bloc at home and abroad.
