More than 10,000 domestic and international athletes, tourists and supporters attended the 2nd Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group.
On the afternoon of November 18, at the Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper Station (BPTV), a press conference was held before the 2nd Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group Tournament in 2024. The tournament was chaired by the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, coordinated by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Binh Phuoc Provincial Youth Union, and Dong Xoai City People's Committee. The tournament took place on November 23 and 24.
Following the success of the first event in 2023, the 2nd Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group in 2024 with the message "The Run of Green Warriors", attracted more than 10,000 athletes, tourists, and domestic and international fans to participate.
This year's tournament will have 5 competition distances including: 2km (RUN FOR KIDS), 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. The new feature of this year's tournament is the addition of a 2km distance compared to last year. Coming to the second season of Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group, athletes will run with 3 famous ambassadors including: "Vietnam Marathon King" Hoang Nguyen Thanh; typical athlete, bronze medalist of SEA Games 31 Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa and Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc.
In particular, to increase the attractiveness, this year's awards are structured by the Organizing Committee into 2 specific groups: professional and amateur for the 21km and 42km distances. In addition, there are awards for clubs, teams, and groups with the largest number of registered members; awards for children; cosplay awards...
In addition to the message of maintaining the habit of exercising, the 2nd Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group in 2024 also has the mission of spreading a green lifestyle to the community through the unique routes of Dong Xoai City. This is a non-profit race, the footsteps of the athletes will contribute to the conservation of wildlife; exchanging kilometers for trees to increase the green space for the young urban area of Dong Xoai.
Attending the tournament, athletes and visitors will also enjoy specialties of 41 ethnic groups, especially dishes made from cashew nuts and many famous OCOP products of Binh Phuoc. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also organize a music night with elaborate investment, imbued with Binh Phuoc's character, promising to bring many emotions to athletes, visitors and audiences.
