On the morning of December 4, 2023, the Politburo and the Secretariat held a national conference to study and disseminate the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee in both in-person and online formats.
Attending and directing the Conference were: Politburo member, President Vo Van Thuong; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Politburo members, former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Sinh Hung, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Central Organization Commission; former Politburo member, former Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong.
The conference was attended by members and former members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee; members of the 13th Party Central Committee, key officials of Party committees at all levels, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations in the entire political system, and a large number of officials and Party members.
The conference was held in both direct and online formats, from the central bridge at the Dien Hong Meeting Room (National Assembly House) connecting to 16,242 bridges of departments, ministries, branches, organizations, and units in the central and local levels nationwide; with 1,441,261 leaders, cadres, and party members attending to study, learn, and thoroughly grasp the Resolution.
Comrades: Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee attended the conference at the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee bridge.
Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XVII; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and National Assembly Delegation; former members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; retired leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and National Assembly Delegation in the province; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations of the province; members of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee; provincial-level reporters; members of the Party Executive Committee, secretaries of Party cells, and grassroots Party committees under the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc; cadres of the Party Building Committees, the Provincial Party Office, and the Provincial Political School attended the conference at the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee bridge.
The conference was also connected online by Hai Duong province to the provincial Military Command bridge, 16 district-level bridges (Hai Duong city and Nam Sach district each had 2 bridges), 90 commune-level bridges with a total of more than 26,000 delegates attending.
At the Conference, delegates listened to Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and President, deliver a speech on the topic: "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy".
Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Prime Minister, delivered a speech on the topic: "Continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies to meet the requirements of national construction and protection in the new period".
Comrade Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense delivered the topic: "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation".
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, delivered the topic: "Continuing to build and promote the role of intellectuals to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period".
The content of the topics focuses on core issues and new points of the resolutions of the 8th Central Conference, 13th tenure, to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members in implementing tasks according to the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, 13th tenure.
On that basis, Party committees, Party organizations, ministries, branches and localities continue to thoroughly grasp and widely propagate the resolutions of the 8th Central Conference, Session XIII, in localities, agencies and units; develop specific, practical and effective action plans and programs to implement the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, Session XIII.
