Thanh Mien District Association in Hai Duong City celebrates 30th anniversary of establishment

Attending the event were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Duc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Vu Tien Phung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; leaders of Thanh Mien district and many Thanh Mien people working and living in Hai Duong city and some other provinces and cities.

In 1993, the Thanh Mien District Association in Hai Duong City was established with about 200 members. Up to now, 17/18 communes and towns in Thanh Mien District have established a branch association in Hai Duong City with nearly 1,200 members. Over the years, the members have promoted their hometown traditions, being industrious, creative, patient, studious, and diligent. Many members have held important positions in the Party, government, and mass organizations; and are successful business owners, contributing to the development of the city and Hai Duong province to become increasingly prosperous.

Over the past 30 years, the Thanh Mien Association has always promoted the spirit of mutual love and support to help each other overcome difficulties. Members always educate their children and grandchildren to look back to their homeland through many practical activities contributing to the construction of new rural areas with a total budget of billions of VND. The Association supports the Covid-19 Prevention Fund, the Fund for the Poor, the Fund for Education Promotion, Talent Promotion... in their hometown with a total amount of 226 million VND.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Dong Dung Manh, Secretary of Thanh Mien District Party Committee, congratulated the positive results that Thanh Mien people in Hai Duong City have achieved in recent years; hoping that people will continue to unite and build a strong association, worthy of being the common home of those far from home.
