Over the years, the program "Tet Sum Vay" has become the brand of the trade union organization in taking care of Tet for union members and workers.
10 year journey
In 2014, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor launched the program "Tet sum vay" for the first time on the occasion of the Year of the Horse. A year later, the Provincial Confederation of Labor proactively developed a plan and guided units in implementing it. Since then, "Tet sum vay" has become a major festival for all levels of trade unions and workers in the province. With many practical activities, this event has attracted the attention of many organizations and individuals.
According to Mr. Do Van Sanh, Head of the Propaganda and Women's Union (Provincial Labor Federation), previously, activities for workers during the Lunar New Year were still organized by relevant levels, sectors and units, but on a smaller scale and in a simpler form. In particular, the main activities were gift giving and encouragement to workers. In 2015, implementing the direction of the higher-level union, the Provincial Labor Federation organized "Tet Sum Vay" for the first time at the provincial level. On the sidelines of the event was a series of attractive cultural, artistic and sports activities, attracting thousands of union members and workers to participate.
"Tet sum vay" is an innovation in the way of taking care of the spiritual life of union members and workers every time Tet comes and spring comes. From 2015 to now, trade unions at all levels in the province have organized thousands of "Tet sum vay" programs with the participation of a large number of workers. With many attractive activities, this event has become a useful playground for union members and workers," said Mr. Sanh.
Tet At Ty marks the 10-year journey of organizing the "Tet Sum Vay" program of Hai Duong trade unions at all levels. Therefore, this event was organized by the Provincial Labor Federation on the largest scale ever. In particular, the unit awarded 500 gifts (each worth 1 million VND); presented 3,000 discount vouchers (each worth 100,000 VND); supported train and bus fares to go home for Tet for 500 union members and workers (support level of 500,000 VND/person). This is also the first time the Provincial Labor Federation organized "Tet Sum Vay" associated with activities: Tet market, 0 VND booths, discount booths... to provide many essential items for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
According to the leader of the Provincial Federation of Labor, with its humanistic meaning, the "Tet Sum Vay" program has become a prominent event, a brand of the trade union organization. In recent years, this activity has not only stopped at giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, but has been organized by trade unions at all levels into a series of attractive events. This has affirmed the role and responsibility of the trade union organization in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. At the same time, it creates a useful playground to help union members relax after stressful and tiring working hours, contributing to building increasingly strong trade unions and enterprises.
Workers expect
As the Lunar New Year approaches, Nissei Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. is filled with red. The bustling atmosphere of the Lunar New Year throughout the factory has dispelled the fatigue after hours of hard work. This year, Nissei Company organized many exciting activities for the "Reunion Tet". Among them, the lucky draw activity attracted the attention of many union members and workers. Surpassing nearly 1,000 workers, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Anh at Factory 2 was lucky to receive the most valuable gift, a Vespa Valerio GS electric motorbike.
According to Ms. Nguyet Anh, "Tet Sum Vay" is one of the biggest festivals of the year for the company. This is not only a place for exchange and meeting but also a useful playground for workers. To win high prizes, the art teams have to invest in costumes and prepare performances weeks in advance. In particular, the lucky draw is the activity that workers look forward to the most because the gifts prepared by the union are very diverse and valuable.
Working in Hai Duong for 5 years, union member Lo Thi Ngoc (born in 1983), from Son La, has participated in "Tet Sum Vay" organized by the Provincial Labor Federation for 4 years. Due to her remote hometown and difficult family circumstances, Ms. Ngoc has received special attention from all levels of the union. In addition to Tet gifts, she also received support for bus tickets to her hometown, vouchers for shopping at 0 VND booths, discount booths, etc.
Holding the Tet gifts in her hands, Ms. Ngoc excitedly said: What I look forward to most at "Tet Sum Vay" is not only the gifts but also the cultural, artistic and sports activities on the sidelines. This year, I was most impressed with the "Traditional Vietnamese Tet Space" exhibition booths. I thank the provincial trade unions for always caring and organizing meaningful programs for union members, especially workers in difficult circumstances.
According to the report of the Provincial Federation of Labor, by January 23, 12 trade unions at the grassroots level had organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng".
