According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Hai Duong currently has 9,655 operating enterprises with 400,213 employees. Due to the large number of enterprises and labor force, occupational safety and hygiene is always of special concern to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in the province.

The Provincial Labor Safety and Hygiene Council, together with all levels, sectors, enterprises, production and business establishments in Hai Duong, have made many efforts in leading, directing, propagating and effectively organizing the implementation of labor safety and hygiene work.

The Provincial Council for Occupational Safety and Hygiene has issued operating regulations, assigned responsibilities to each member in charge of the area to implement occupational safety and hygiene work; focused on propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness and consciousness of occupational safety and hygiene for enterprises, production and business establishments, workers and people.

Issue documents and leaflets to disseminate regulations on occupational safety and hygiene to districts, towns, cities, craft villages, small and medium enterprises; organize training courses for officials in charge of state management of employment and occupational safety in communes, wards and towns.

In 2024, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs organized training to raise awareness and knowledge of occupational safety and hygiene for more than 200 officials of districts, towns, cities, communes, wards, and townships, heads of residential areas with craft villages and cooperatives at high risk of occupational accidents and diseases; guided 60 enterprises on organizing overtime; coordinated with the Department of Labor Safety (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) to inspect occupational safety and hygiene at 4 enterprises.

Effective in places where occupational safety and health are of concern

In Hai Duong, in recent times, occupational safety and hygiene has been given great attention by many employers. And in such places, workers are guaranteed safety.

Duc Anh Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company (Kinh Mon) specializes in manufacturing precision mechanical products, with production technology imported from Japan. This is an industry with many potential factors of occupational accidents.

Clearly identifying occupational safety and hygiene in the enterprise as the most important factor for stability and development, right from the beginning of operation, the company has established the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Board and developed a network of occupational safety and hygiene workers. To ensure safety in machine operation, the company's Trade Union has worked with the business owner to promote the dissemination of occupational safety and hygiene content to workers. The Trade Union also advised the business owner to organize periodic health check-ups and occupational disease detection for all workers according to regulations.

To ensure that employees work in the best working environment, the company focuses on investing in modern machinery and equipment and improving working conditions. Every month, the company inspects the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene in the teams.

Thanks to good implementation of occupational safety and hygiene, for many years, Duc Anh Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company has not had any occupational accidents affecting the health of workers.

Ilsung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nhan Quyen Industrial Park, Binh Giang) specializes in manufacturing LED bulbs, currently has about 460 workers and employees. Determining that ensuring labor safety is not only a responsibility but also an important factor bringing success and sustainable development to the enterprise, the unit always puts measures to ensure labor safety and hygiene for workers first.

The company provides workers with full protective equipment. Signs are posted around the production area announcing regulations on work procedures, safety and occupational hygiene, in order to minimize occupational accidents. Because the regulations are clearly and specifically implemented, if any worker violates safety and occupational hygiene, the company will strictly handle them.
