On the evening of April 13, the spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, confirmed in a press release that dozens of drones launched from Iran were heading towards Israel.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also confirmed that the country fired hundreds of drones into Israeli territory.

Later, Iran's state news agency IRNA quoted a well-informed source as saying that the country had begun launching its first ballistic missiles at targets "deep" inside "occupied territory and Israeli positions".

Israel's Channel 12 television reported that the country has begun intercepting Iranian drones.

According to Channel 12, Iran launched about 100 drones and cruise missiles, some of which were shot down over Syria or Jordan, and Israel was able to carry out the above solution thanks to the cooperation capacity between the US and its regional allies.

For its part, the US-based ABC news agency said it believed that there would be nearly 400 - 500 drones and missiles launched from Iraq, Syria, South Lebanon and Yemen, however, the majority of these weapons were fired from Iran.
