On October 31, the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and the Department of Health to train 50 Red Cross volunteers in first aid in Kim Thanh, Thanh Ha districts and Kinh Mon town.
At the training session, Red Cross volunteers were imparted basic knowledge about accidents and injuries, the importance of first aid; practiced first aid skills for victims of traffic accidents, drowning, electric shock, etc.
The leader of the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross Society said that since 2020, the society has established 4 volunteer first aid teams in the community, all in Kim Thanh district. The teams have been equipped with some medical supplies by the society. Over the past 3 years, these 4 teams have provided first aid to about 2,600 cases of accidents and injuries in the community; actively participated in disseminating knowledge about first aid to the people...
According to the plan, in November, the Provincial Red Cross will establish and launch 8 more volunteer first aid teams in the community in Tu Ky, Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Kim Thanh districts and Chi Linh city.
