According to the plan to implement food safety assurance work for the Lunar New Year and the 2024 spring festival season, which has just been issued by the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee, from now until March 20, 2024, Hai Duong will establish 3 interdisciplinary inspection teams to conduct inspections in 12 districts, towns, and cities.

District and commune levels establish interdisciplinary inspection teams of districts, towns, cities and communes, wards and towns.

Inspection and examination work will focus on product groups consumed a lot during Tet and festivals with high risk of food safety and hygiene such as meat and meat products, beer, wine, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, cakes, jams, candies, vegetables, fruits, food additives... Inspection of food service establishments; quality and safety of food products...

The Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee requires all levels, sectors and localities to diversify communication activities, disseminate legal regulations on food safety as well as knowledge in selecting, preserving, processing and consuming food to housewives, food consumers, food producers, processors, traders and authorities at all levels, managers with the aim of minimizing food poisoning cases during the Lunar New Year and the 2024 Spring Festival.
