Hai Duong invests 1,296 billion VND to build road and Van bridge connecting Chi Linh - Kinh Mon

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has approved the Investment Project to build a road and Van bridge connecting National Highway 37 (Chi Linh City) with the approach road to Trieu bridge (Kinh Mon).

The design of Van bridge with "Ceramic polishing" architecture was carried out by the Large Bridge - Tunnel Design Consulting Joint Stock Company.

The project has a total route length of 13.07 km, of which the main route is 9.7 km long, the starting point intersects with National Highway 37, about 1.3 km from Binh Bridge towards Dong Lac Commune (Chi Linh); the end point intersects with Provincial Road 389 and the approach road to Trieu Bridge in Le Ninh Commune (Kinh Mon), built according to the scale of a grade III plain road, design speed of 80 km/h, roadbed width of 12 m and road surface width of 11 m.

The branch line includes branch line 1, about 2.05 km long (section from km10+600 - km12+650 of provincial road 389 B), renovated and upgraded to the scale of a level IV plain road, design speed 60 km/h, roadbed width 9 m, road surface width 8 m; branch line 2, 1.32 km long (section from Mong Pass to the intersection with provincial road 389B), renovated and expanded road surface to a scale of 7-11 m suitable for site conditions.

Van Bridge is newly built, prestressed reinforced concrete structure, 12 m wide, 894 m long.

The total investment of the project is more than 1,296 billion VND, from the provincial budget, with the Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor. The implementation period is 2021-2025 and 2026-2030.

The investment in implementing the project aims to complete the regional traffic network according to the planning, creating a traffic axis connecting Kinh Mon urban area with Chi Linh urban area, connecting National Highway 37 with Provincial Road 389, existing Provincial Road 389B and planned routes such as Ring Road V - Capital Region, North - South axis of Hai Duong province; gradually forming a traffic route connecting the northeastern districts of Hai Duong with the provinces and cities: Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong. Thereby, creating an inter-regional development space and favorable conditions to attract investment projects; contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Chi Linh City, Kinh Mon town in particular and Hai Duong province in general.

Previously, Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee organized a competition for the architectural plan of Van bridge project and the architectural plan "Chuot Chuot" of the Large Bridge - Tunnel Design Consulting Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) was selected for implementation.
