Hai Duong: Warning of extremely dangerous forest fires

In a statement issued on the afternoon of April 15, the Hai Duong Forest Protection Department said it had upgraded the forest fire level in Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town from level IV (dangerous level) to level V (extremely dangerous level). This is the highest level in the 5-level forest fire forecasting scale in Vietnam.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from April 15 to 21, the weather in Hai Duong province will be complicated, with no rain and hot sunny days, making the risk of large fires in all types of forests very high.

The Provincial Forest Protection Department requested relevant agencies and units, the People's Committee of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town to focus on strictly implementing the directives of the Central Government, the province and the Department of Agriculture and Environment on strengthening forest fire prevention and fighting.
