Four people trapped on the second floor of a house fire in Cho town, Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh) have just been successfully rescued by authorities.
At around 3:00 a.m. on October 19, a fire broke out at the house and beverage ingredients business of Mr. Le Quang Loi's family, about 80 square meters wide, in Zone 1 of the new urban area, Cho town, Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh).
The fire started on the first floor, which contained many flammable materials such as plastic bags, cardboard and mixing ingredients. Thick black smoke quickly engulfed the entire house, trapping four people who were calling for help from the second floor.
Images recorded at the scene show that the house on fire is a multi-story townhouse but is on the street so fire trucks can quickly reach it.
Yen Phong District Police, headquartered nearby, quickly arrived at the scene, used on-site firefighting equipment to control the fire and guided the two trapped people out through the second-floor balcony. The victims were then taken to the District Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Two specialized fire trucks and fire police forces then arrived in protective gear and oxygen tanks, climbed the ladder to reach the second floor, and brought the two remaining victims out.
After about an hour, the fire was completely extinguished. The fire did not cause any human casualties. Yen Phong District Police have cordoned off the scene so that authorities can investigate and determine the property damage and cause of the fire.
