Gasoline and oil prices both decreased from 3 p.m. today, in which RON95-III gasoline price decreased by 710 VND, to below 20,500 VND per liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have just decided to adjust retail gasoline prices from 3:00 p.m. on March 6.
Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline is not higher than VND19,961/liter (down VND697/liter compared to the current base price), VND441/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline. The price of RON95-III gasoline is not higher than VND20,402/liter (down VND710/liter).
The price of 0.05S diesel oil is not higher than 18,333 VND/liter (down 624 VND/liter compared to the current base price), kerosene is not higher than 18,573 VND/liter (down 762 VND/liter), and fuel oil is not higher than 17,150 VND/kg (down 465 VND/kg).
In this operating period, the management agency does not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.
The world oil market in this operating period (from February 27 to March 5) was affected by major factors such as: OPEC+ decided to increase oil production in April as planned, the US imposed new taxes on goods from Mexico, Canada, China and the response of these countries to US goods, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continued..., causing world oil prices to tend to decrease in recent days.
The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on February 27 and the adjustment period on March 6 was: 80.726 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 4.042 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.77%); 82.302 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 3.824 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.44%); 86.710 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 4.490 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.92%); 86.544 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 3.686 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.09%); 469.034 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 17.200 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 3.54%).
The adjusted selling prices of petroleum products are determined by the petroleum wholesale traders and petroleum distributors, but no later than 3:00 p.m. on March 6.
