Gasoline and oil prices increase together

Gasoline and oil prices (except fuel) will increase from 3:00 p.m. today, after adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

According to the joint management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance today, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by 260 VND, to 22,230 VND per liter. Meanwhile, E5 RON 92 is at 21,310 VND per liter, an increase of 170 VND.

Oil products have new prices of 16,880-19,850 VND per liter compared to 7 days ago. Of which, diesel increased by 220 VND, to 19,640 VND per liter. Kerosene increased by 300 VND. Only fuel oil decreased by 400 VND.

Thus, since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 13 times and decreased 10 times. Oil prices have increased 11 times and decreased 12 times.

Similar to the previous management period, today the joint ministry did not allocate or spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for fuel products.

The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) raising its forecast for global oil demand growth and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

On average, over the past 7 days, the price of finished gasoline increased by 1.2-1.5%, and oil by 1.4-1.9%. Accordingly, each barrel of RON gasoline increased to 91.5 USD, and diesel oil was at 94.8 USD. Only fuel oil decreased by 2.8%, to 492.7 USD per ton.
