According to information from the Vietnam Register, 60 Ford Everests were recalled to replace injectors and upgrade the engine control module software - PCM.
On January 24, the Vietnam Register (Ministry of Transport) issued a recall notice for the Ford Everest model to replace injectors and upgrade the engine control module (PCM) software, imported and distributed by Ford Vietnam Limited Company under the Ford Group's program.
The total number of Ford Everest vehicles recalled is 60, with production dates between July 7, 2022 and March 1, 2023.
According to the Vietnam Register, on some vehicles, the adblue injector may be damaged. The cause of the above phenomenon is due to a software error in the engine control module-PCM. The solution and treatment is to replace the adblue injector and upgrade the software of the engine control module-PCM.
Ford Vietnam and authorized dealers will perform the recall for all affected vehicles free of charge. The time to check and upgrade the engine control module-PCM software for each vehicle is approximately 90 minutes and is completely free. The recall campaign will begin on November 3, 2023 and is expected to end on November 3, 2026.
Previously, in November 2023, Ford Vietnam also had to recall 185 Ford Everest vehicles imported from Thailand, manufactured from June 28, 2022 to April 4, 2023, to upgrade the engine control module software - PCM.
