Comrade Trieu The Hung ceased to hold the position of Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee.

The 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council passed resolutions confirming the results of the dismissal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the termination of the duties of the 17th Provincial People's Council delegate, term 2021-2026, for comrade Trieu The Hung due to job transfer.

Previously, on July 24, the National Assembly Standing Committee approved comrade Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Culture and Education Committee of the 15th National Assembly from August 1.

Speaking at the meeting, former Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung sincerely thanked the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches, and localities in the province for always trusting and accompanying him in carrying out his tasks in recent years.

Comrade Trieu The Hung said he was honored to be transferred to Hai Duong on May 10, 2020, a land of outstanding people and rich historical traditions. The more than 4 years of working in Hai Duong province left a deep impression on him with memories of the land and people of Dong Hai Duong.

"It can be said that in 2020, I was a Central official transferred to work in Hai Duong; and tomorrow, I am a native of Hai Duong transferred to work in the Central", comrade Trieu The Hung shared.

Comrade Trieu The Hung emphasized that Hai Duong has achieved many positive results in implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 despite the intertwined favorable and challenging context, especially the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The province's economy in the 2021-2023 period will grow by over 8.5% per year, higher than the national average. In the first 6 months of 2024, GRDP increased by over 10%, ranking 7th nationwide and 3rd in the Red River Delta. The competitiveness index of Hai Duong province in 2023 increased by 15 places, the administrative reform index increased by 25 places compared to 2022. Average income per capita in 2023 reached 5.33 million VND/person/month, up 8.2% compared to 2022 (ranked 10th nationwide and 5th in the Red River Delta). Urban and rural areas are increasingly spacious, clean and beautiful, and many large investors are interested in investing in Hai Duong. Recently, many social security policies for the people have been issued.

As Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Trieu The Hung said that he has always devoted himself to and contributed to the overall development of the province, but there are still goals and plans that have not been completed. He hopes to continue to receive the sharing, support and cooperation of provincial leaders, leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province so that he can promote the experiences gained during his time working in Hai Duong and successfully complete his tasks in his new position.

Comrade Trieu The Hung, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, believes and wishes that the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of departments, branches and localities will continue to strive to successfully complete the goals set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

Congratulating comrade Trieu The Hung on his new assignment, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, assessed that in his position as Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, comrade Trieu The Hung, together with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, focused on leading and directing the successful organization of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; successfully organizing the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; actively participating in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic to effectively implement the dual goal of both ensuring disease prevention and control and restoring socio-economic development.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang said that Comrade Trieu The Hung, as a delegate of the 14th and 15th National Assembly and a delegate of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council, has always participated seriously and responsibly in meetings, performed well in voter contact activities, promptly and fully received voters' recommendations to fulfill his duties according to the law and the work programs of the National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council.
