At the meeting, the People's Council of Hai Duong province reviewed and discussed the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Council of the province and elected comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, term XVII, 2021-2026 with an absolute number of 100% of votes.

The Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution confirming the election results for the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term XVII, 2021-2026; assigning the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to complete procedures and submit to the Prime Minister for approval according to regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, Le Ngoc Chau, expressed his sincere thanks for the special attention and affection of General Secretary and President To Lam for the Party Committee, government, voters and people of Hai Duong province and for him personally.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also respectfully thanked the delegates of the Provincial People's Council for their trust and confidence in electing him, affirming that this was both an honor and a great and heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, government, voters and people of the province.

In order to strive to fulfill the goals and targets of the socio-economic development plan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau said that the Provincial People's Committee needs to continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency in direction and management. Focus on proposing flexible and appropriate solutions to mobilize all resources, promote advantages, maximize support and create favorable conditions from the Central Government and other provinces for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

With the responsibility assigned to him as the head of the Provincial People's Committee, comrade Le Ngoc Chau said that he will always be humble in learning, devote all his energy and intelligence, strive to excel, quickly accept new tasks; together with the Party Executive Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, continue to inherit and promote the achievements of previous generations of leaders to best complete the assigned tasks with the highest determination.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau emphasized that he will work with the Provincial People's Committee to continue to innovate, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; continue to direct and operate the Provincial People's Committee to comply with the provisions of the Constitution and the law. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council evaluated the election results of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% absolute votes, expressing the sentiments and trust of the Provincial People's Council delegates in Comrade Le Ngoc Chau. The Provincial People's Council believes that the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will, together with the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee, inherit the tradition of solidarity and sense of responsibility of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee in the past terms to continue to promote and spread the aspiration for development, overcome all difficulties, and work with all levels and sectors to direct, operate and organize the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks in 2024 and the entire term.

The Provincial People's Council also believes that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will proactively grasp public opinion, opinions of voters, businesses... to promptly resolve urgent issues, create consensus in society; overcome the situation of avoidance, fear of mistakes, fear of responsibility of a part of cadres and civil servants; improve the investment and business environment, ensure the legitimate rights and interests of people and businesses; promote increased budget revenue to meet investment and development requirements; at the same time, strengthen and expand relations with central ministries, branches, other provinces, domestic and foreign partners to remove difficulties, attract investment, promote socio-economic development of the province.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Van Hieu said that the 2021-2026 term has passed 3/5 of the way, but the amount of work to be done is still very large.
