Former Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung holds the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education.

On the afternoon of August 12, at the National Assembly House, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a ceremony to announce and present the resolution approving comrade Trieu The Hung, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Culture and Education Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly chaired the announcement ceremony. Also attending the announcement ceremony were comrades of the Party Central Committee: Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong; Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh; Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs Vu Hai Ha; Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Le Quang Huy; Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai; Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang.

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province and the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province attended the announcement ceremony.

Speaking at the meeting and assigning tasks to Comrade Trieu The Hung, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh affirmed that after 31 years of striving and growing through many positions in the Party and government, Comrade Trieu The Hung has always fulfilled his tasks well. The approval of Comrade Trieu The Hung to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Committee for Culture and Education demonstrates the trust of the Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee, the National Assembly Party Delegation and the National Assembly Standing Committee in his efforts and struggles in the past time. This is an honor but also a great responsibility for me personally.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh requested Comrade Trieu The Hung to continue to raise awareness and responsibility, constantly strive, practice steadfastness, improve knowledge, proactively research, apply and advise on institutionalizing the Party's resolutions and policies into projects and proposals that he is personally assigned to effectively, making worthy contributions to the work of the Committee on Culture and Education, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the assignment, Comrade Trieu The Hung, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Education, expressed his honor and pride that the National Assembly Standing Committee organized the ceremony to announce and hand over the decision on personnel work. Comrade Trieu The Hung thanked the Party Central Committee Secretariat, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly for their trust in appointing him to the position of Vice Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Education.

Comrade Trieu The Hung affirmed that he will fully absorb the opinions and directions of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; together with the Standing Committee of the Committee for Culture and Education, strive to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

Previously, on the morning of August 12, at the 24th Session (special session), the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council passed resolutions confirming the results of the dismissal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the termination of the duties of the 17th Provincial People's Council delegate, term 2021-2026, for comrade Trieu The Hung due to job transfer.
