Hai Duong team won the mixed event of the national championship

Coach Tran Thi Len said that Hai Duong has 15 fencers (10 female, 5 male) participating in all events.

In the mixed sabre event, fencers Vu Thi Thu Linh, Nguyen Thi Kim Thu, Doan Thi Yen, Nguyen Duc Tai, Le Duc Thien and Do Van Hop won gold medals. At this tournament in 2023, the Hai Duong fencing team also won a gold medal in the same event.

In addition to the gold medal, the Hai Duong team won 1 silver medal in the women's sabre team and 1 bronze medal in the women's sabre team, 1 silver medal short of the assigned target.

The National Fencing Championship is the highest tournament in 2024 of Vietnamese fencing, with 200 fencers from 8 delegations: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa and the People's Public Security competing. The tournament was recently held at Trinh Hoai Duc Sports Gymnasium (Hanoi).

The Hai Duong fencing team currently has 15 members, coached by Tran Thi Len. The National Fencing Championship is the team's last major tournament in 2024. Previously, at the 8th National Youth Fencing Championship (April 2024), the Hai Duong team won 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, exceeding the assigned medal target.
