78 years ago, on August 13, 1945, Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee convened a cadre conference at Dong communal house, Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien) to decide to strengthen Party building work, promote revolutionary activities of the masses to create favorable conditions, and await the order to launch a general uprising to seize power.
Thanh Tung is also the hometown of Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang, an exemplary and loyal communist soldier.
