On the same day, the delegation of Hai Duong province offered incense and flowers at Hoang Dinh Giong Memorial Site, Pac Bo Special National Historical Relic Site, including Kim Dong Relic Site.
In a solemn atmosphere, the leaders of Hai Duong province and delegates observed a minute of silence to express their deep gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, Hero of the Armed Forces Kim Dong, and revolutionary predecessors.
Pac Bo National Special Historical Site was once the place where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked as a revolutionary (from 1941-1945), after 30 years of searching for a way to save the country and working abroad, he returned to Vietnam.
The Kim Dong historical site was built in 1985 at the foot of Teo Lai Mountain, Truong Ha Commune, to commemorate the contributions of Hero of the People's Armed Forces Kim Dong. In the early morning of February 15, 1943, Kim Dong was assigned to guard a secret meeting of the Party Central Committee. In a dangerous situation, he misled the enemy, tricked them into concentrating their forces and firepower on him, and heroically sacrificed himself at the age of 14. In 1997, Kim Dong was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State.
