This method applies to two groups: specialized students nationwide and non-specialized students of high schools of Hanoi National University.
For the interview, the school evaluates the candidate based on the level of "Pass" or "Fail". If passed, the candidate's academic record is considered, which is the average score of 5 semesters in high school (except for the second semester of grade 12). The school announces the admission score based on the average subject.
English language teaching has the highest standard score. On average, each subject in the admission group must have a minimum score of 9.4 or higher to be admitted. The second place is Chinese language teaching with 9.2 points per subject. This level is 9.1 for German and Korean language teaching, and 9 points for Japanese language teaching.
For language training majors, the benchmark score has two levels: 8 points for specialized school students and 8.5 for the remaining group.
