The first locality in Hai Duong completes population and housing census

According to the Kim Thanh District Statistics Office, by the morning of April 26, Kim Thanh District had completed collecting information for the 2024 mid-term population and housing census in 64 localities in 18 communes and towns with 1,920 households.

There are 44 areas surveyed using short questionnaires (including basic information on population and housing); 20 areas surveyed using long questionnaires (including information in the short questionnaire and some additional questions). Kim Thanh is the first locality in the province to complete the population and housing census, 5 days ahead of schedule.

To ensure the progress and quality of the investigation, Kim Thanh district organized training for investigators; selected investigators who were knowledgeable about technology and had good communication skills. The district also promoted propaganda on the radio, mobile, and visual systems...

The 2024 mid-term population and housing census aims to collect information on population and housing as a basis for assessing the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan for the 2021-2025 period; developing policies, planning population and housing to serve the preparation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan for the 2026-2030 period.

The survey will also provide data on population size to the district level 5 years after the 2019 Population and Housing Census, serving as a basis for reviewing and adjusting annual population data for the 2020-2024 period; updating the data warehouse managed by the General Statistics Office to serve research, analysis and forecasting of the development process between two censuses.
