This proposal was made by the Ministry of Transport in an official dispatch sent to the Department of Registration and local transport departments to strengthen the inspection of motor vehicles to serve the registration needs of people and businesses.

According to the Ministry of Transport, in recent times, inspection units across the country have been working hard day and night to conduct technical safety and environmental protection inspections of motor vehicles, contributing to removing difficulties, relieving congestion, serving the transportation needs of people and businesses, and gradually stabilizing inspection work.

However, due to actual demand, the number of vehicles due for inspection during this period has increased, while many inspection lines are still unable to operate due to a lack of inspectors, leading to continued congestion and the risk of increasing, making it difficult for vehicle owners to bring their vehicles for inspection at inspection centers, especially in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Ministry of Transport requests that agencies direct and propagate to local inspection centers to continue to encourage inspection staff to try to overcome difficulties and stabilize the force.

At the same time, there is a satisfactory treatment regime to motivate and encourage working spirit, to complete assigned tasks well; arrange overtime, even during the holidays of April 30 and May 1, to contribute to clearing congestion in vehicle inspection, to best serve the needs of motor vehicle inspection of people and businesses.

Previously, in the notice of holidays for the Hung Kings' death anniversary, April 30 and May 1, the Department of Vehicle Registration said that the branches and inspection centers will be closed from April 29 to May 2, 2023, and will resume work from May 3, 2023.

The Department of Registration recommends that heads of agencies and units encourage and motivate civil servants, public employees and employees to work on compensatory holidays to serve the vehicle inspection needs of people and businesses and have policies for employees to work on compensatory holidays according to the provisions of law.
