Prosecuted 3 reporters of Giao Thong Newspaper for extortion

The Investigation Police Agency of Nam Dinh Province Police is investigating a case of property extortion that occurred in Giao Thuy district involving a number of officials and reporters of Giao Thong Newspaper.

Mr. Liu Pingruong was proposed to be sentenced to more than 15 years in prison.

Two former National Assembly deputies Le Thanh Van and Luu Binh Nhuong were assessed by the Procuracy to have profited many times and not represented the people's voice in a fair and objective manner.
Six more defendants prosecuted at Vietnam Environment and Urban Magazine

The Investigation Police Agency, Thai Binh Provincial Police, has issued a decision to prosecute and issue a temporary detention order for the defendants who are officers, reporters, and employees of the Vietnam Environment and Urban Magazine.
