After many years of use, Song Don culvert, Kim Dinh commune (Kim Thanh, Hai Duong) has seriously degraded, affecting the irrigation process.
Song Don culvert in Kim Dinh commune (Kim Thanh) located on the left dike of Rang river is a box culvert, brick and reinforced concrete structure, built in 1963. The steel culvert wings consisting of 4 panels were replaced in 2018.
However, the sewer has now deteriorated, the concrete and steel frame are cracked and rusted. The sewer body has many cracks. The seams are faded, and the sewer walls have many large holes, making water regulation difficult.
The culvert is located in the downstream area so it is also directly affected by salinity.
