Hai Duong Provincial Police have just received a thank you letter from Mr. Nguyen Van Chung (born in 1981, residing in Do Thuong village, Pham Kha commune, Thanh Mien) for helping him receive back 400 million VND that was mistakenly transferred.

On April 14, 2022, Mr. Chung mistakenly transferred 400 million VND to the account of a person named DANG VAN HAI opened at Vietcombank.
After discovering that he had transferred the wrong money, Mr. Chung reported to Agribank Thanh Mien district branch to request support in recovering the money, but after 38 days there were no results.
On May 23, 2022, Mr. Chung submitted a request for help from Thanh Mien District Police. Thanh Mien District Police found the owner of the above account number, Mr. Dang Van Hai (born in 1998, hometown: Cat Lu village, Chi Dao commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen). Mr. Hai is working in Japan, he has not used the above account number for transactions for more than 2 years.
Thanh Mien District Police instructed Mr. Chung to connect with Mr. Hai and the bank through the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan to complete the procedures to authorize relatives to receive the money back. By August 11, 2022, Mr. Chung had received the above amount of money.
Mr. Chung sent his deep thanks to the Provincial Police Director, the Police Chief and officers and soldiers of Thanh Mien District Police.
