On March 2, Colonel Nguyen Quang Nhat, Head of the Traffic Accident Investigation and Resolution Department (Traffic Police Department) said that on the first day the traffic police force began performing their duties of testing, issuing and renewing driver's licenses... local police received 391 applications for issuing and renewing driver's licenses. Of these, 334 cases were received directly and 47 cases were received through the Public Service Portal.

Also according to the representative of the Traffic Police Department, from March 8, the police force will organize to receive documents on Saturdays.

Colonel Nguyen Quang Nhat added that people who need to renew their driver's license can do it in two ways: directly and online.

In case the driving license is integrated with 2 classes, the person is in the period of having the right to use the driving license of one class revoked, then submit the decision on administrative penalty for violations in the field of road traffic to change to the remaining class.

In addition, people who need to change their driving license to a lower class must clearly declare in the application for changing or re-issuing a driving license and are responsible for the declared content.

When issuing and renewing a driver's license directly, people go to the police headquarters of the commune, ward or town where the application reception point is located or the traffic police department of the provincial or city police.

People who need to renew their driver's license online should access the National Public Service Portal, then select the "Renew Driver's License" service and follow the instructions.
