The People's Committee of Ba Dinh District (Hanoi) has issued a decision to administratively fine the owner of Nguyen Ninh green rice cake production facility VND40 million for violations of food safety.
On January 6, the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District issued Decision No. 22/QD-XPHC to administratively sanction the owner of the Nguyen Ninh traditional green rice cake production facility (No. 11 Hang Than Street, Truc Bach Ward, Ba Dinh District) for violations.
Accordingly, the District People's Committee administratively sanctioned Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh, owner of the Nguyen Ninh traditional rice cake production facility, for violations of the food production process that does not follow the one-way principle from input materials to final products; production areas, warehouses containing food, raw materials, food additives, food processing aids, tools, packaging materials, containers that come into direct contact with food with insects and harmful animals; storage areas and warehouses that do not have or do not have adequate shelves, nameplates, regulations, procedures, and hygiene regimes; using people in direct contact with food without wearing full protective gear as prescribed.
For the above violations, the owner of the Nguyen Ninh traditional rice cake production facility was fined a total of 40 million VND.
The People's Committee of Ba Dinh District requested specialized departments and Truc Bach Ward to strengthen inspection and supervision of the correction of violations by facility owners and require facilities to strictly implement legal regulations on food hygiene and safety.
According to a source from Ba Dinh district, the owner of the Nguyen Ninh traditional rice cake production facility has paid the fine according to the decision, and provided all documents on production, business, and food safety according to regulations.
Previously, on the afternoon of January 2, the Hanoi City Food Safety Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 1 inspected food safety assurance for Tet at the Nguyen Ninh traditional green rice cake production facility and discovered many violations of food safety.
The inspection team requested the facility to temporarily suspend operations to immediately correct these shortcomings.
