Approval of Major General Nguyen Duc Dung to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee

On the morning of August 6, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Decision of the Central Party Secretariat on approving Major General Nguyen Duc Dung, Director of the Provincial Police Department, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Authorized by the Central Party Secretariat, Head of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Nguyen Chin announced the Decision approving the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for comrade Nguyen Duc Dung.

Accordingly, based on the Party Charter; Working regulations of the Party Central Committee, Politburo and Secretariat of the 13th tenure, the Secretariat decided to approve Major General Nguyen Duc Dung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the announcement ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, presented flowers and congratulated Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung on being approved for the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; at the same time, he informed that the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee had agreed to meet and assign Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung is a mature officer and holds many important positions in the Public Security sector. We believe that he will continue to strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Having been approved by the Politburo and the Central Secretariat for the new responsibility, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Dung emphasized that this is a great pride and honor for him, as well as a responsibility to the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam province.

In particular, in the context that Quang Nam is facing many opportunities but also many difficulties and challenges, especially in the fields of socio-economic development, national defense and security, foreign affairs, government building and personnel work, etc., the Party Committee and the government must further promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome all difficulties to strive to fulfill the tasks and targets set out in the resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term as well as prepare the contents and conditions for organizing Party Congresses at all levels, the 23rd Provincial Party Congress, towards the National Party Congress.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Dung hopes to continue receiving support and assistance from the Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee, Party agencies at the Central level, provincial leaders, generations of veteran cadres, Party committees at all levels and the consensus of the entire political system to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung was born in 1967, from Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province. Qualifications: Bachelor of Security University, Senior Political Theory. In November 2019, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung was appointed by the Minister of Public Security to the position of Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police.

In February 2020, Mr. Dung was promoted from Colonel to Major General by the President.
