According to the decision of the Coaching Board, the captain of the U23 Vietnam team is goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan, the vice-captains are central defender Luong Duy Cuong, midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien, Khuat Van Khang and striker Nguyen Quoc Viet. The U23 Vietnam Executive Board plays the role of a bridge between the Coaching Board and the players in daily activities at the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, thereby enhancing interaction, sharing and exchange to create a united and strong U23 Vietnam team.
Earlier in the morning of the same day, members of the Vietnam U23 team visited the famous Pa Pardu temple in the coastal city of Rayong, Thailand. The team will have 1 day left to prepare before officially entering the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.
According to the plan, coach Hoang Anh Tuan will finalize the official list of 23 players to play the opening match against U23 Laos on August 20. After that, the U23 Vietnam team will continue to compete against U23 Philippines on August 22.
